I am building a campaign that will listen to you. This Website was created to get your input. I desire that this site will provide a place for two-way communication with voters about the issues that confront the day-to-day operation of the Harris County District Clerk’s office.
As your District Clerk, I pledge to invigorate the district clerk's office with a passion for excellence in service to the citizens and residents of Harris County. I commit to conducting internal audits to identify additional ways to enhance solutions and optimize the experience for Harris County residents, ensuring the office is accessible and inclusive. As an officer of the court, the District Clerk is endowed with certain authority to aid and promote the judicial process. With the new reset to the Jury Wheel in November of 2024, it has not kept pace with the significant population growth in Harris County, resulting in a jury pool that remains insufficiently representative and overly reliant on a limited rotation of individuals, thereby underscoring the need for a broader, more equitable, and more diverse selection process. Harris County needs a jury pool selection process that is fair, diverse, and more expansive.
